Parenting is not for the weak. The struggles that parents face might seem garden-variety because there are billions of parents on this earth, but that doesn’t make their troubles any less important. Hearing parents say «my baby won’t stop crying» or «my teenager has an attitude problem» might make it seem like every parent on earth has minor variations on the same boring problems, but if you traverse into a Parenting Facebook Group, you’ll find that a lot of moms and dad lead extremely unique lives.
I’m forever grateful that my childhood was not marked by my parents inquiring to Facebook groups full of strangers about if me eating Red Dye would cause a total personality shift to occur. Unfortunately, a lot of kids today don’t have the security of their personal information not being shared to the [Insert City Here] Moms Facebook Group, and these posts epitomize the wildness that occurs there.
