One of my favorite Mommy Facebook Groupisms is that food dye causes major personality changes in their kids. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not in the pockets of Big Red Dye or Big Blue Dye, and I’m sure it is super unhealthy. But when I see posts that say, «My child acts completely different after their father gives them an ICEE,» it reminds me of how parents used to act like eating sugar made their kids unusually hyper. That sounded like a placebo effect to me when I was a kid, and this food dye stuff sounded like a placebo effect to me now. But what do I know? I drank one of those blue drinks with the shark that has red coming out of his mouth from Outback Steakhouse recently, so maybe parents shouldn’t be taking nutrition advice from the likes of me. If you care about health and like to chuckle at the extremely crunchy moms, these parenting posts will be right up your alley.
