Just like the avocado toast addicted millennials that came before them, Gen Z have faced a lot of criticism from the older generations. They’re entitled, they’re prudes, they don’t know how to have fun outside, and they’re always on that blasted TikTok. 

The clock app is going to be one of those things that comes to define this age group, and with good reason. It’s somehow convinced a hefty proportion of them that confessional short form video is the best way to exist on the internet.

I can’t say that I agree, but I also find it hard not to be amused by the consequences of this. Sorry haters, TikTok can be really fun sometimes. It also contributes to our supply of cringe and other manmade horrors, but so does any other social media. We may as well enjoy its varied entertainment while it is still the platform of the moment.
