Country music fans were having a hootin’ and hollerin’ ole time at Stagecoach, until gale force winds blew everyone’s cowboy hat out into the desert.
Despite a dramatic emergency evacuation and gusty aftermath of a 65 mile-per-hour windstorm, Stagecoach, the country music festival in Indio, California, was more or less unscathed. Apart from a few wind-torn tents, rattled roadies, and extra sleep-deprived country music fans, the festival yeehawed into the wee hours, finishing up a late-night musical lineup and concluding an eventful rodeo-style weekend.
