We love roasting people as much as the next guy, but we have got to admit that it doesn’t take a whole lot of wit or bravery to insult a person. It is a sacrificial self-own, in an attempt to really roast someone else, that garners our highest respect. It takes guts to brutalize oneself for the greater good. The resulting memes are riotously funny, albeit predictably immature. Some of them mock users’ penis size. Others rely on simple yet satisfyingly roastable interactions with family.
