What would you do if your job refused to acknowledge your contributions?

It’s hard to know when you’ve taken on too much work. Sometimes things can just pile up, and before you know it, you’re doing way more than is in your job description. These things have a way of sneaking up on you. But if you’re in the hands of a good employer, they will recognize this and make it worth your while. They will see how much effort you’re putting in and reward you in kind. But this doesn’t always happen in the workplace. Sometimes you have to take matters into your own hands. 

That’s what this worker tried to do when, after years of feeling taken advantage of, they had finally had enough. They decided to leave them in their tracks and move on. But when they learned what measures they were taking to replace them, they felt oddly vindicated. If only they could have realized that at the time, instead of having to move on to another job. But these things have a way of presenting themselves at the last minute.
