Remember those «I’ll Take This Over An Expensive Night Out Any Day» memes? They were way better than the awkward phrasing suggests. Just a few months after that meme hit the scene, Twitter users are turning a South Korean comic into the same kind of comedic romantic yearning. The comic, from @0g_maru, features a couple cuddling in bed watching another couple kiss on the television. Twitter users are swapping out the smoochers with dumb YouTube videos and irony-packed images. They’re pretty tame, but likely to resonate with any lonely people in lockdown – or people who resent their significant other’s programming choices.
