Thankfully, I’m not at the age where I’m starting to «lose friends» to parenthood, like the subject of this recent horror story. But I imagine that’s a hard thing to go through. You can have all the intention in the world of staying friends, but life will rapidly get in the way if one of you has a kid. It’s one of those sad facts of life. Not that it’s impossible to stay close, but that it takes a lot of time and effort. It also takes a lack of judgment of each other’s choices. Some folks look forward to having a baby for their whole lives. Some folks are child-free and happy. Both are equally valid choices. 

But in this story, things were a little different, since a group of baby-lovers insisted that it was their way or the highway. And they had a real Stepford Wife way of getting that across. Get all the weird deets.
