Tolkien Tuesday: The Best Lord of the Rings Memes This Week (July 1, 2025)

Greetings to all the nasty little hobbitses of the world. It might be hard to believe for some of the OG fans, but The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring (2001) is not far off being a whole quarter of a century old. It is a testament to the quality of both Tolkien’s and Peter Jackson’s work that it has stood the test of time in such a way, as well as the loyalty of the fandom. Perhaps the greatest strength of all things Middle-earth is that it is a passion project through and through, from the time that The Hobbit was first published, to the latest meme that a devoted fan on their 100th movie rewatch has made. Ultimately, this is what sustains the LOTR universe, and there are millions out there who couldn’t be happier about that. The silly humor that the internet produces about it is its testament.
