Happy Tuesday, Lord of the Rings fans. How’s everyone coping with the heat wave? I, personally, am struggling. And not just with the fact that climate change seems realer than ever. I’m struggling because New York City has been feeling way more like Mordor than some bustling city in the beautiful Northeast. While my office’s air conditioning isn’t too shabby, I’ve mainly been coping with the pain with the helpof distractions. And what better way to distract ourselves than with Lord of the Rings memes? 

This week’s batch veers from the last few, in that we’re starting to see a trend unfold. Sadly, it’s a return to the b*tching and moaning that so many people have been doing in response to the impending release of Amazon’s Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.  There are even memes about how boring it is to complain about the upcoming series. Frankly, it’s getting a bit annoying – which makes us thankful for the rest of the memes, which stay true to our usual form: stupid, silly, and filled with referential humor. Enjoy.
