Romance isn’t always all that it’s cracked up to be — or at least, the process of finding it isn’t. Anyone who has spent enough time on dating apps has at least one true horror story of somebody they will always regret giving their time and attention. Sometimes, this comes through people showing their unpleasant true colors after a few months together. Occasionally, though, things get crazy from the moment that you go on your first or second date. 

It’s probably for the best that somebody weird shows themselves up before they become a feature in your life, but it doesn’t make the experience any less upsetting. Asking Twitter about the creepiest or strangest things that dates had done to them, people delivered with stories that ranged from weird to haunting. Maybe everyone out there who is single is better off alone after all.
