The world is a better place with music in it!

Can you imagine if music didn’t exist? I definitely can’t. Music is an essential part of life; it is everywhere! Take the bus? The radio is on. Grocery shopping? The supermarket has its own playlist. Even nature has its own music: the sound of the waves crashing on the beach, the birds singing in the morning, the wind howling through the tree leaves… We’re surrounded by music.

Most of our playlists are a total mess: we have different singers, styles, and genres all in the same place, all mixed and matched like the outfits we wore for school in the early 2000s. 

There’s music to accompany every activity. For instance, experts say it’s good to listen to classical music while studying, since it helps with concentration. I can assure you that that doesn’t work for me. After 30 seconds, I start acting like I’m the conductor of an orchestra playing a piano concerto in the middle of the Opera House. Not much focusing on studying there, but if it works for you, please, go ahead! 

Even though I can’t actually listen to music while studying, I sure can listen to it while cleaning the house or during a road trip. I clean better with music, and I know I’m not the only one who feels that way. As for road trips and driving in general, it can get so boring without a good song! My dad does something he likes to call «crazy shuffle» when we go on road trips together. It basically means that you hit the ‘play’ button and you’ll get a song from the Backstreet Boys, followed by Metallica, and some Beethoven to complete the repertoire. There’s some Britney Spears, Bon Jovi, Taylor Swift, and Sabrina Carpenter sprinkled here and there for some variety as well. One thing is true: the energy shifts are crazy! You never get bored in the car with my dad, I can assure you.
