After years of catching flack for changing up a couple key details of everyone’s favorite animated Disney princess movie, The Little Mermaid, Disney came back and showed us all how to actually make a real live-action remake with TLM 2023. The controversy surrounding this movie was heavy, but after the premier earlier this week, Little Mermaid fans are singing the praises of a job well done and reliving the original childish-joy we all felt when we watched the animated classic 34 years ago (yeah, it’s been that long). 

Twitter reacted to the reveal of the film and the star studded debut of a soon-to-be-revered classic princess film. Halle Bailey ate it up on the blue carpet and it seems like every star was prepared to make fashion waves at this undersea themed event. Although we are all excited to see the movie in theaters at the end of this month, until then, we can fangirl over princess dresses, singing shellfish, and Offset’s adorable two daughters.
