When Avatar came out in 2009, we all thought that CGI and visual effects could only improve from there. However, that hasn’t necessarily been the case, especially with flicks like Thor: Love and Thunder.  The sequel to Thor: Ragnorok has been the subject of criticism for its uncanny and ugly CGI effects. These strange visuals are not merely caused by poor artistry, but they happen because VFX teams are often overworked, and are asked to do more than they can handle given the time constraints. These rushed effects create some incredibly haunting and memeable imagery that Twitter wasn’t going to overlook.
