Where’s the line between being helpful and crossing a boundary?
A homeowner is left confused after waking up to find a neighbor has mowed their carefully maintained lawn without permission. What first seems like an unexpected favor quickly becomes a frustrating situation when the neighbor admits she accidentally destroyed part of the sprinkler system. Even after multiple apologies, the homeowner can’t shake the feeling that a major personal boundary was crossed.
We all have had some crazy neighbor sometime in our lifetime. And those are impossible to forget. From a nosy lady to a grumpy all-man… neighbors come in all shapes and sizes. Now, the one in this story is hard to categorize since she seems nice and helpful, yet disrespectful. A couple has very odd work shifts during the summer, so whenever they are not working, they like to sleep in a bit.
During the early hours of the morning, the lady knocked on their door and seemed pretty nervous. She was holding a sprinkler in her hand and admitted that she had broken it. The weird thing is that the system is inside their property, so if the lady was mowing her lawn, then there was no reason for them to touch it. The man asked her if, by chance, she was also mowing their lawn, and she said she was.
Why would the neighbor do that without permission? It not only sounds like a lot of extra work, but it also means trespassing. The couple was kind of relaxed and told her to please never do that again, although they were left wondering what this lady was doing and why she decided to do something like that.
