Having kids is a hard job as it is, especially in their toddler years, when they already know what they want but haven’t learned to control their emotions or follow any societal norms. Yep, quite the challenge to deal with a kid who’s sleepy but doesn’t want to go to bed, and for parents, that’s their everyday routine. They have to deal with the challenges constantly, but those kids are their children, and they love them, so they take all the bad and enjoy the reward afterwards. 

For nannies and babysitters, the rules are different. They are some of the people who give out the most love in the world. They help raise and take care of children that aren’t theirs, and even though it is a job like any other and they get paid, in reality, it isn’t just another job. When the parents have to work all day, the nannies feed the children, help them with their schoolwork, take care of them when they get sick, and are there for them when they get sad, upset, or have a fight with their siblings and friends. They do the job of raising them every day, and the parents trust them to treat their children lovingly and firmly. They set the rules, but they also share laughter and moments of fun. The thing about all of this is that they obviously get attached to those kids; after all, they see them every day, but since they aren’t their own kids, when they grow up enough, it’s time to say goodbye. Nannies use their time, effort, energy, and love to raise children that most likely won’t see much of when they grow up. It’s a really noble job they do, and hardly ever tells them how necessary and appreciated they actually are.
