Woman Astounds The Internet With Claim That Her Mom Used To Write Her School Assignments

Being pushed through the mainstream education system can be an agonizing affair. It can lead many students to get creative when it comes to easing the pain of assignments and standardized tests. Writing notes on your arms and being «inspired» by your friend’s work has happened to all of us at one time or another, and not everyone was lucky enough to receive family support in getting their grades. If they were, the experience was probably limited to the traumatic memory of having the same algebra problem repeated back to them at the kitchen table on a Sunday night.

Apparently, though, this wasn’t the case for all. A TikTok by Saroyah, known as soylea.__, has caused controversy for explaining how her mom used to write her college papers. In the video, she recounts a story of a time when one of her college professors refused her an extension on an assignment that was due that night. Her response was to text her mom, who wrote the body of the paper and sent it back to her to put some finishing touches on it.

Most viewers were left perplexed by her confession, with many suggesting they would have received a very different response if they had asked a parent to complete a last minute college deadline. Moms may sacrifice a lot for their children, but firing up a Google doc to keep their kid’s GPA afloat is definitely a step too far for most.
