Woman Gets Dunked On For Being Against Smoking on a Train

I’m young enough that I don’t remember when it was legal to smoke indoors. It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and South Park both covered the issue of banning smoking in bars in 2006 and 2003, respectively. I’m guessing that’s when the issue was at its peak in the discourse, and I was nowhere near old enough to go to a bar back then. Unfortunately, people who have never lived in a world where smoking indoors is legal are now getting involved in Twitter discourse about it.

Philadelphian mother and Twitter user @mindyisser recently posted: «I would like to be able to ride the subway with my 4-month-old baby and not be in a car with people smoking.» Seems harmless enough, right? According to some extremely vocal Twitter users, this statement is an outrage. This tweet attracted a wide range of detractors, from hypochondriacs to urbanists to baby haters. Every response to this tweet was weirder than the next, so you must see it for yourself.
