We’ve heard men say time and time again, I much prefer a more natural woman or Agh, I hate it when girls wear makeup…But I think men often forget that not everything a woman does is to make them happier, but is rather something that makes us, women, feel good! Oftentimes, makeup is used as a form of creative expression, not to cover a few blemishes, thought to appall the male species. We’re not saying that men can’t have their preferences, as do we women…If a man approached me covered in excessive body hair, I’d probably also run in the other direction (but that’s a story for another day).

But this is when online dating gets complicated…What some people refer to as infamous Catfishing. It’s common for people to look different in photos than they do in person; however, this is not always intentional. Unless, of course, Facetune is your best friend by choice. (Hey! no hate either, each to their own.) Some people are just more photogenic than others…So we understand the fear of facing each other for the first time…but hopefully, most of us are pleasantly surprised. However, that is not always the case.
