There are all kinds of recruiters in the world. You might have a call with a recruiter that will lead to an incredibly meaningful professional relationship, even if you don’t get the job. There are many more recruiters that will be so unmemorable you won’t recall their names a week after talking to them for the first time. Like so many bell curves, there exists an equally rare entity to the fantastic recruiter: a recruiter so cruel, unusual, and insulting to your intelligence that you will never forget them for as long as you live. 

One self-taught computer scientist working towards his degree shared his harrowing encounter with one of those latter recruiters. The recruiter scheduled the interview for 5 PM EST and texted the prospective employee in anger around 4:30. He insulted his intelligence because he failed to show up to an interview scheduled at the incorrect time and quickly paid the price for his cruelty.
