«Hello mom? Dad? How are you? Quick question… How do I do this? Like… Everything?» Funny thing, that is an actual conversation I have had on the phone with my parents as a ripe old 31-year-old. And you know what the answer is? Don’t take everything so seriously. Seriously, anything in life can be a meme. So let’s just laugh at memes and figure life out one step at a time! 

If you are a parent, then you’d better buckle up to get questions like that for the rest of your life. Sure, when they’re a toddler, they’re asking things like, «Why do we have to sleep?» or «What happened before you came out of your mom?» and you’re already too exhausted to even think of an intellectual answer. But you’d better get used to it, because even in their 30s, it turns out your kids are still going to call you up and ask you questions that nobody has the answers to. And they will ask it, thinking that you have some all-knowing, wise answer! 

Sometimes we forget that our parents are just some kids living life for the first time as well. So, we all might as well have a good laugh as we figure out life together! As a family.
