We did it! We survived another round of changing the clocks for reasons I’m still not sure I understand.
On the bright side, we got an extra hour of sleep this weekend. On the not-so-bright side (literally), it’s now getting dark before we’ve even had a chance to figure out what to do with the rest of our day. For some reason, that extra hour doesn’t feel so much like a bonus. Sure, sleeping in sounds great! Now, does it really make up for looking out the window at 5 pm and feeling like it’s time to put on your pajamas? I don’t think so. I lost the will to do anything past that time. I’m ready for bed at 4 pm now.
Am I exaggerating a little? Maybe. At least we’re all confused together. If changing the clocks twice a year has taught us anything, it’s that there’s probably a meme for every minor inconvenience in life.
Your phone updates itself overnight, but that clock on the microwave? That’s your responsibility, my friend. It has four buttons, none of which seem to do what they’re supposed to. Press one, and you’re setting a timer instead of changing the hour. The clock in the car needs adjusting too. Good luck remembering to fix that before spring! For the next few days, every glance at your car’s digital display feels like a pop quiz you never studied for. How do I even change the time settings? I only know how to connect my phone via Bluetooth and put on a playlist.
