Friday… again.
You know it’s bad when Fridays don’t even do it for you anymore. The end of the day is near; we have two days to decompress, but the Sunday scaries set in before you clock out of the office on Friday. How do we fix this sinister cycle?
I can talk hot about how it’s a «mindset» and after a certain amount of time, we get used to it, but the simple answer is: Compartmentalization. You have your work brain and your home brain, like in Severance, and you leave it at that. There’s an art to figuring out how to compartmentalize successfully, but the baseline is telling yourself that you shouldn’t let your work life affect your home life. Work wins if that happens, and we can’t let that happen. So, instead, thing: TGIF (and mean it).
