So I decided to rewatch The Sopranos recently. Purely casual, no big deal. And within like forty-eight hours, I was calling my landlord trying to negotiate my lease by leaning on him harder, and referring to coworkers as «crew,» greeting ‘em on both cheeks. Like my whole brain, along with every news feed and for you page around me got rewired, to fit the mood. I started having agita about pantry items, yelling when I open the fridge. I described a traffic jam that made me late as «a situation I need to take care of. So whatta you gonna do, huh? Fuhgeddaboudit. Don’t worry ‘bout it.»
That’s what this show does. It doesn’t just play on your TV. It moves in. It’s got a drawer now. It rearranged your furniture. It’s the goomar you absolutely cannot quit. I’m telling you, «just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in»
Enjoy the memes. Scroll through, laugh, whadeva, send ‘em to your crew. But just know, the second you start laughing, you’re already back in. You’re in the life now.
Badda bing, badda boom. Capisce?
