The nineties were a ripe time. Do I say that just because many of us happened to be kids during that decade? Maybe. But it was also an interesting time for culture. Bill Clinton was playing his saxophone on Arsenio Hall, the movie Clerks was changing the way we looked at cinema and young people, everyone was busy running off to feed their Tamagotchis. McDonald’s still looked fun on the inside. We didn’t mind chugging blue-dyed drinks all day. We had a booming economy and some pretty rad denim. In terms of decades when it was good to be a kid, the 90s was one of the top ones.
But that’s hard to separate from the fact that if you had a good childhood, any time when you grew up was probably the good one.
