Parenting is the kind of thing that you need to tweet about. Sometimes kids just say funny stuff, and you can’t help but run to your keyboard to write it down. There is a long tradition of this, with shows like «Kids Say the Darndest Things» and «America’s Funniest Home Videos.» If you’ve been around a kid, you’re bound to hear them say something funny at some point. Bonus points if they say a curse word. That’s just always going to be hilarious. 

So it’s a natural instinct for parents to want to record their kids’ best moments. But what about parents’ best moments too? Parents get to be funny as well; they just don’t get as much credit. We know all about dad jokes, but what about parent jokes? Parents are natural observers of their kids, after all. That’s what parenting tweets are for. They’re an outlet for folks who have children to be funny and insightful in any way they prefer to be. And they’re going to do it all in under a few sentences. And we’re going to love it.
