There is no such thing as too out-there. You can only go so far into outer space, and we love that. The more out-there, the more interesting, at least in my book. Storytelling has been around as long as there has been civilization, so needless to say, we’re always searching for something new. It can be hard to strike new gold in a medium that has been around for millennia. This is why we love science fiction. It’s constantly pushing the boundaries of what we have seen before. Each time we sit down for a new sci-fi flick, we’re strapping in for a completely new experience. 

We’re signing up to see something that will blow our minds. It’s hard to do in this day and age, when we feel like we’ve already seen everything there is to see. We’re easily bored and hard to impress, so when something does, it’s worth making a meme about. It’s why we keep coming back to the stories that have blown our minds for decades. They happen to never get old.
