If you had to be one species from the Star Trek universe besides humans, what would you be?

For me, the choice is obvious. I would be a Vulcan, no questions asked, so I could regulate my emotions better and have more ear to work with! Sure, I might lose some of my human vulnerability, but I’d rather look mostly human, be less emotional, and be more logical. 

If you choose to be a Betazoid, I do not understand you. The concept of being able to read people’s minds sounds appealing, but you’d quickly realize there’s a very good reason people don’t say exactly what they think all the time. It’s important to keep some cards close to your chest; our social interactions will all descend into chaos and madness.
