Springtime is great for a few reasons. The weather is starting to thaw our bodies and our hearts. Flowers are beginning to bloom, so we’re surrounded by color instead of grey. And Star Wars fans are beginning to prepare for our favorite holiday. It may be a couple of weeks away (pun not intended), but it’s time to get your Star Wars Day plans in order. You should be planning your guest list (no fake fans allowed), and going shopping for decorations (you might have to look in some discount bins for those Grogu paper plates, but it’s worth it). And most importantly, you should be collecting memes to share during the festivities. 

Memes are important to a healthy fandom. They keep us laughing, keep us discussing, and keep us engaging with the culture. If we didn’t have Star Wars memes, we might not have Star Wars message boards, group chats, and fan meetups. Think about that.
