My personal favorite part of Star Wars is when Luke Skywalker turns around and says, «There’s a war happening. A war… In the stars.» When he said that… it really stayed with me. 

So much of the dialogue in our favorite films is instantly iconic. Everyone in their mother knows that «I am your father,» comes from the Star Wars franchise. Maybe some of us think that good ole Darthy actually said «Luke, I am your father.» But those of us in the know have reversed the Mandela effect and realized the truth. But it goes to show you just how much language has an impact on our fandom. It gives us axioms by which to live our lives. Fodder for posters that we will hang on our walls. And most importantly, stuff to spoof so that we make that we may make memes forevermore. I wonder if the screenwriter of Star Wars (aka George Lucas) had any idea of the kind of impact he was making when they were when he put pen to paper. We may never know.
