It’s both difficult and incredibly easy to believe that Stranger Things is about to enter its fifth season. If Netflix was a cable network, this show would’ve either been wrapped up in 2022 or continually churning out seasons far past its prime, a la the CW Network. Because it is on the premier streaming service, it has taken nearly 10 years to wrap up this one story. It makes sense because every episode has felt like its own movie for the past couple of seasons, but it’s still absurd, nonetheless.
Do you remember where you were in July 2016? That is when Season 1 premiered, and I can guarantee you that nearly all of the Stranger Things audience are in a different place in life than when they first met that little bald diva, Eleven. My sister was crushing on Finn Wolfhard in middle school when the show first premiered, and now she’s a Civil Engineer. Life comes at you fast!
