The holiday season always presents a number of issues in the financial department. Gifts cost money, flights cost money, food costs money, and December deal events make us realize that our hobbies, interests, desires, and personal purchases also cost money. Suddenly, with all of this outbound cash, our wallets are looking a little thin, and the bank account isn’t so happy with us.
Oh, to be rich!
Most of us aren’t rich, though, and live paycheck to paycheck. While the biweekly stipend from our jobsite servitude is nice and regular, imagine if it were double, no TRIPLE, that amount. How nice it would be to wander the aisles of frivolous stores like REI, Bloomingdale’s, or Rip Curl without worrying about the price tag. Perhaps in another life (or another season) our monetary situation will be far plushier than it is now, but until then we’ll keep dreaming of the lavish luxuries that would await us if our paystub gross pay was what actually hit on the direct deposit.
Until then, we must clock in and get that bag.
