I don’t consider myself a competitive person. I don’t snap into action when someone blows a whistle, I’m more about collaboration. How do we work together to make things better? But there are a few things that make me feel like a competitive person. For example, pub trivia. Any board game, card game, parlor game, I don’t care about winning. But something about forming a team at your local watering hole to try and take down other teams at your local watering hole… I lock in. Maybe it’s because it’s a team sport. You have more to lose, so you have more to gain. There’s also something so smug about people who think they’re really good at pub trivia. It makes me want to take them down a few pegs. But that’s just me. 

We all (hopefully) have the thing we think we’re best at. We have the skill that we’ve honed and we know we could go toe to toe with the best of them.
