A woman experienced every young lover’s nightmare: The parental third-wheel.

While getting to know your potential future in-laws is a must for most people in the dating world, going on vacation with her boyfriend’s mother wasn’t exactly what this 27-year-old had in mind. After scrounging together enough money for her dream vacation to Japan, this young woman and her boyfriend booked the trip of a lifetime. However, everything was ruined when his mother, Liv, casually announced that she had booked herself in. Same flight, same hotel, and a nagging parental shadow to follow them around to Asia. 

Rightfully so, this intrusion was not well-received, likely leading to either a lifetime of motherly imposition or a slow but sure breakdown of this couple’s love life.  Either way, this young woman will not be embarking on her dream holiday with her man’s Mommy in tow; that would be a gross violation of their relationship privacy and their life experiences.
