The advancement of technology has enabled us, for better or for worse, to hide behind our phones. You’re no longer allowed to knock on people’s doors unless you’re in mail delivery. As someone who doesn’t particularly like the company of other people very much, I find that a blessing. Glancing at my phone, watching a name pop up, and listening to the low buzz gives me crippling anxiety, for no good reason other than the fact that I don’t feel equipped to make conversation on the little device. Texting is a lifesaver.

As introverts, our house is our favorite place on the planet, besides the imaginary worlds we have built up in our heads, where we are lone rangers, riding through the godforsaken deserts, watching the sunset from our high horse.
