Happy Leap Day, parents. It’s that extra day that you’ve always wished for when you said «If I could just have an extra day, I could get everything done.» Except today is tragically a normal Thursday and we must go to work and school and carry on as if everything matters. If only we could get an extra day at the end of the week that existed outside of the bounds of normal space-time. It could be our day to take care of business, treat ourselves, go to the dentist, get our nails done, and finally write that novel. 

Having kids finds a way to eat up every inch of your spare time you once thought you had. You come home from work and you have a whole other job waiting for you, and it never stops. For 18 years. Or if you’re lucky and they live in your house well after high school, even longer.
