A fun part of parenting is making your kids lunch for when they go to school. You have to make sure they’re healthy, but also having a little fun. That means packing the essentials, like fruits and veggies, but also a treat like a brownie and a cute little note that calls them your special little guy in rainbow colored pencil. Heck, if you’d get that now in your work lunch your heart would probably instantly fill with joy. That’s because it would be healing to your inner child. Every child deserves lunch, especially a lunch that makes them fill loved and special. Back in the early oughts when I was growing up, I’d get my hot buttered noddles, a Fruit Roll-Ups, and an original piece of napkin artwork from my mom or dad. It was something I looked forward to every day. Plus, if you’ve got the really good stuff, I’m talking Cosmic Brownies, Gushers, homemade cookies from your grandbma, you’d be the most popular kid in the lunch room to trade with.
