I’m awkward–I say the wrong thing, do the wrong thing and manage to turn myself into the weird mute friend at every social gathering. While the homies parade around familiar acquaintances, I tend to follow two potential paths: Clam up or out-weird myself.
Could it be possible that introverts have a top-secret superpower that none of us know about? Some superheroes can turn their eyesight into lasers, while other superheroes can fly. Welp, while every introvert probably wishes they could turn invisible, for many of us, it’s quite the opposite. We become dashingly exotic. An introvert’s superpower isn’t in their charm or strength, it’s our extraordinary ability to be the strangest oddball at the party–guaranteed.
Fortunately for everyone living in 2024, weirdness is actually very chic these days, so embrace your inner quirks and remind yourself of your superpowers. Even if you’d rather have invisibility or super-strength, at least every introvert can use the power of the Irish goodbye to get themselves out of any social situation.
