4-year-old nephew breaks 15-year-old’s gaming console, parents complain when he asks them to replace it: ‘That was $300 of my own money’

It is an unfortunate reality of having or frequently being around kids that every so often, they are going to cause some damage to things. Sometimes they are too curious, other times too clumsy, and some of the time, they are just plain badly behaved. As a parent, it is more often than not a responsibility to replace or pay for things that your kids break, and if this is a common occurrence, it is probably time to think about ways to stop it happening so much.

Sadly, it is no secret that there are certain parents who are not interested in dealing with the consequences of a child’s destructive streak. This can easily cause problems for the kid and the parents, especially if they are liable for damage to the property of family and friends. At its worst, these incidents can completely destroy relationships due to the level of entitlement.
