There is nothing quite like playing a video game at the end of a long day. What’s even better, though, is when you’ve cleaned your kitchen, mopped your floors, scrubbed your bathroom, done your laundry and then sat down to game. The rules of delayed gratification, of course, apply to gaming. Everything is a little bit better once you’ve waited for it. Have you ever waited a really long time for the pizza to arrive? Sure, you may hit lows, emotionally, while you’re waiting.
You may be mean to your friends in a way that you are later ashamed of. You may say things you regret out of hunger. But once that pizza gets there, I guarantee you it will be the best thing you’ve ever tasted. The same goes for games. Sure, they’re the games that you play all the time. They’re not new to you, but they’re true to you and they’ll always be there for you when you need them.
