It may be rough out there, but in here… we have memes.

It’s a scary world. There’s not a lot that is going right. Maybe you’re having a tough year so far, and you’re dreaming of bluer skies ahead. It doesn’t help that we’ve had two blizzards in 3 weeks and a whole lot of bad weather in between. It’s hard to get out of a funk when the whole world is in a funk. We need others to uplift us, but it can seem like everyone is having a bad time right now. Nobody is feeling quite up to the task, so we’re all phoning it in until spring. We’re hoping for a break in the dreariness of the cold, one that threatens to never come. Winter is a tough time to be a human. It’s a great time to be a bear. Shouldn’t we incorporate hibernation into our lives?

It doesn’t sound like such a bad idea, going to bed for a couple of months and coming out when it’s better. We wouldn’t really miss much, would we? Maybe we’d miss the Super Bowl or Valentine’s Day, but I could personally live without either of those holidays. No, if I were saving up my stores for Spring, then that would be a useful way to spend my time, instead of fighting the cold every day, hoping it doesn’t take me down with it. But at least we have the perpetual fire of the internet to keep us warm.
