Having responsibilities is not fun…
Much to our dismay, we are grown-ups. We have to go to work, we have to do chores around the house, pay our bills, do our taxes, and so much more. We’re so busy we barely have time to laugh, and that is not right. We need to have fun; we need to laugh hysterically until we can’t breathe! And no, the knock-knock jokes from Kevin from HR are not funny, no matter how much we fake laugh, so we get our paid leave for a few days of mental rest.
We need some real fun out here; something that makes us feel like we’re seventeen, in our friend’s backyard during summer, having a pool party and laughing our heads off. Oh, how we miss those glorious days: coming back from school, putting on our bathing suits, jumping in the water, and making such a scandal that the neighbors came to knock on our doors complaining about the noise. It was all fun and games for endless hours. Unfortunately, we grew up, and our opportunities for silliness are now scarce. That is why we need to take EVERY SINGLE CHANCE we get for being goofy again.
Boredom is chasing us, and it’s catching up with us. After all, the last time we trained for a run was in 2010, and our resistance and speed are not what they used to be, so of course, boredom is faster than us. Even a sloth would be faster than us, given the chance to race against us. We’re not runners; we have accepted that already.
Anyway, where were we? Laughing opportunities. Since boredom and monotony are our daily cup of tea, we need to spice things up a bit. Dust off some of our best jokes, work on our stand-up act (we all had one at some point, don’t lie), and be prepared to receive with open arms every possible fun moment that comes our way. For instance, this meme list! Take it with you while you’re coming back home on the bus, on the train, in the cab, on your horse… You get the point… Here you have a chance to put a smile on your face, take it!
