If parallel universes exist, then logically that means there’s an alternate reality where memes don’t exist, and everything is just varying shades of grey, and food tastes like ash. People look peculiarly ageless because there’s no sunshine and no one ever laughs. In this grotesque alternate reality, the only form of entertainment that exists is a single channel on television, which only plays static, but people watch it anyway because there’s nothing else to do. Why am I painting such a depressing picture of some horrible reality that doesn’t exist? To make you feel grateful, that’s why. Sure, sometimes we throw a few duds in the mix that don’t quite hit, but a shitty meme is better than no memes at all, am I right? 

Before you go pooh-poohing every meme that doesn’t meet your high standards, be appreciative of all the great memes you’ve gotten to enjoy over the years. For all you know, there could be some humorless world out there where no one gets to enjoy anything, ever.
