Minecraft is a perfect game. It’s a vast open world RPG that rewards creativity and is full of hidden easter eggs, and yet it is brilliant in its sheer simplicity. The first time I played Minecraft on my own in creative mode versus the first time I played on a friend’s server while chatting to my Minecraft faction via Discord was like playing two completely different games. My favorite thing about Minecraft is that you can make it the game you want it to be. If you want to build a perfect replica of the Empire State Building, you can do it. If you want to play Minecraft like it’s GoldenEye or Call Of Duty: Black Ops Cold War, you can do that too. What other game out there allows its players to build games within games within games?
