A Handful Of Terrible Takes From Highly Entitled Gamers

It doesn’t matter how popular it gets, or how diverse it has become as a hobby, we’ve got to admit that gamers kind of have an image problem. This has nothing to do with the fact that some might consider it a nerdy pastime, even though the right game can appeal to pretty much anyone. It isn’t even about the stereotype of them being beauty-challenged neckbeards with personal hygiene issues — although if it has been a couple of days since you last showered, yeah, maybe look into that.

The real problem with the public perception of the gaming world is that its participants can get pretty opinionated about how things should work when it comes to their beloved art. Of course, this is not a bad thing in itself; sometimes, it even brings about positive change.

However, the self-important way in which this is often expressed can come off as insufferable to anyone on the outside, and completely enraging to those who share the same passion. If there’s one thing that too many gamers know how to do, it’s making a terrible, no-good take. Perhaps it would be better to just stick to the console (or keyboard, we don’t discriminate).
