Monday, Monday. A day of transition. Like whatever the opposite of a phoenix is, we tone down our personalities (well, some of us do), turn our backs on freedom, and kiss people’s asses for 8 hours just so we can pay for rent and utilities. And after that’s done, we make dinner, maybe watch some TV or scroll for a couple hours, and then do it all over again. The only way this horror show of a lifestyle is even a little sustainable is distraction. Distractions from how thankless this existence is, and distractions from whatever it is keeping us from achieving greatness. Memes just happen to be one of the easiest – and cheapest – ways to keep our minds off reality and get a bit of a laugh in.
