When you’re taken down by boredom, it’s hard to be selective. Nearly any form of mindless entertainment will cure what ails you. You can turn on the TV  and feel as though you are experiencing something new – even when you’re actually just scrolling through Instagram while it plays in the background. Like you do almost every evening of your sad and tedious life. You can take a leisurely walk around your hood, admiring all the massive piles of burning garbage on the streets and the miserable people staring out their windows or sitting on their stoops. But if we’re being real, none of these activities really cures the pain. Sometimes, taking a walk on the safer side of the street is the antidote to the listlessness you feel. And that involves simply logging back on, heading to Memebase, and scrolling through yet another collection of memes. Some are fresh. Some are nerdy. But they all do the trick where boredom is concerned. At that’s all that matters.
