One of the more underrated factors that keeps us hooked on memes is that we are waiting for the day that they no longer surprise us. Even when we’re kind of fed up of the whole concept, we have to come back for more to see if they’ve innovated in a way that is fun and impressive. It’s a dastardly game, but nobody is going to stop playing it unless they have a full digital detox. If we’re honest with ourselves, that isn’t happening any time soon. 

So, we’re left with the alternative, which is looking at a bunch of memes whenever they’re provided to us. Perhaps they don’t give us the level of enjoyment that we’re hoping for all of the time, but before we know it they’ll pull something else out of the bag. It’s all about that element of chance, and it’s never more potent than in a list like this. Enjoy!
