It’s that time of the year again: The World Series. On some level, every baseball fan is excited about the world series, but everyone knows that not all world series’ are created equal. In my household, nothing compared to watching the Chicago Cubs break the curse in 2016. Even though I might not be the biggest baseball fan in the world, seeing how much that win meant to my family and the city of Chicago was so powerful to watch. 

This year, we’ve got the Phillies vs. the Astros. I have never lived in Philadelphia or Houston, so I don’t really have a leg to stand on when I say I’m lowkey gunning for the Astros. The only thing that’s making me lean toward them is the well-documented fact that every time the Phillies have won the world series, an economic recession quickly follows. And no offense to the Phillies fans of the world, but that’s just not worth it for me.
