Bleak «Shared Rooms» for Rent in Palo Alto Inspire Horror and Ridicule

It doesn’t take the misfortune of not having a stable living situation to realize that many cities are in the middle of a housing crisis. Renting an apartment hasn’t been this stressful in a long time, and some places are worse than others.

Many parts of California are notorious for their inaccessible rent prices, and a landlord in Palo Alto has recently served up a particularly disturbing example. Advertising what looks like a series of bunk beds as «shared rooms» for the price of $800 a month, it’s not the ideal living situation for most people.

When the ad was found by Twitter users, it’s fair to say that most of them weren’t impressed by what it was offering. Having an actual living space to yourself (especially for that price) shouldn’t be a radical ask, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here. This type of accommodation isn’t for everyone, that’s for sure.
